Terramodel Training on 11 August 2007

A refresher training has been held on the 11th August 2007 at KT Site Office Meeting Room. The training was attended by 5 draughtpersons and surveyors.

The 2 hours training touched on 3 major aspects of Terramodel namely the design stage, volume calculation and working with survey data.

In Design, the Design command under DTM pulldown menus was demonstrated and discussed. Apart from that, Sideslope method of design was also talked about. Finally, an alternative method of designing within autocad before importing into Terramodel was shown.

For Volume Calculation, a brief explaination was given for the calculation bt DTM method. The advantages of using this method was also explained. Volume calculation by cross section was also explored within this topic. Further to that, demo on cross section drawing production was also done.

The command Merge was introduced and discussed for working with survey data. The command showed can be used for updating of survey data. The next command that was explained is the Safe Landfill Floor.
